Gaeilgeoir na Seachtaine
Every Friday during this term, the class teacher will chose one pupil for Gaeilgeoir na Seachtaine. There will pictures of the winners on the website every week. The winning pupils get hot chocolate at lunchtime. These are the pupils who have been awarded this honour so far.
Rith Spraoi
Work is going ahead on the preparations for the Rith Spraoi due to be held on June 17th @ 11.00. The children will have cards for the raffle this week. Each family will get a card but extra cards can be got from the office. The raffle will take place on the 17th. All monies collected will go towards upgrading our school play area.

We ran a competition within the school to choose a poster for the back of the raffle card. Isobel Ní Riain Rang a 3 won the competition. Maith thú Isobel. The final contenders are on display in the hall and parents are welcome to come to see them. All art work will be on display for the Rith Spraoi.
Múinteoir Caroline imithe ón scoil. Go néirí an tádh lei.
Múinteoir Caroline retired from her post in the school earlier this month. Caroline has been a valuable member of staff for twenty years. She worked as a teacher of Infants for a number of years before taking over the role of Learning Support Teacher. Caroline also acted in role of The Deputy Principal for a number of years.
Caroline’s expertise is a huge loss to the school staff and to the school community. I know that many parents and past pupils will be sorry to hear of her retirement. Parents and past pupils also appreciate the manner in which Caroline encouraged and fostered a love an appreciation of Irish music in numerous pupils. We wish her a happy and healthy retirement as she sets out on this new phase in her life.

Dul Chun cinn san Rackard League
The boys on the Rackard League team are working hard under the stewardship of Múinteoir Barra. They have won one match and have unfortunately been beaten in two matches. They will play again Wednesday.
